Currently we have 102 people on our list in Lee/Macon counties calling us because they have problems with their homes! Their roof is leaking, their floors are falling in, wind is coming through the cracks. And these are people’s homes. No, we would never say a person is living in “a shack” but this annual awareness event helps us develop a picture of the struggle so many low-income families face.
GET US OUT!
On Oct 25, we go back into the shacks with a bold goal to raise $50,000 that in turn will allow us to repair more homes across the state. We???? YES!!!! Local pastors and other community friends are committing 24 hours in another shack next to mine to help me out. So, we have more people and more awareness!
You can find us at 131 S. Gay Street at the Auburn Wesley Foundation Lawn across from Tiger Rags. Help us get going now by making an online donation, emailing us with your pledge, or mailing in a donation. Starting Oct. 25th you can also drop by to help us get out. Once again, pass this on to help us raise $50,000 to get us and Alabamians out of the shacks! www.arm-al.org or call (334) 501-4276.
