Ms. Matthews is a super sweet grandmother with a heart of gold and willing to help anyone. Taking care of her two grandchildren who she adopted, she also has her hands full. So, when the roof started leaking in her home, it was a big deal to stay dry. Although on a fixed, social security income, she saved up enough money to hire a roofing contractor to complete the roof work. However, there were enough funds to replace the wet insulation and damage dry wall on the ceilings and walls. It would be several months to save up the extra $1200 to complete.
ARM and Ms. Matthews connected. We learned her story and knew we wanted to help. As I write, volunteers are getting prepared to help her finish the interior of her home. Your gift towards our goal of $125,000 ensures we finish her home and make it warm, safe, dry and beautiful.
You can be the difference between wet and cold versus warm and dry! You can be a beacon of love, compassion and hope; extending Jesus’ love. You can partner with us and help Ms. Matthews! Here are a few ways:

Finally, the temps hit 97 degrees. The humidity makes it feel like over 100…so I feel like we are literally sweating for Ms. Matthews…and it is worth it! If this is the most we, in our comfortable North American Christianity have to sacrifice, we’ll do it every day all day! Grace and peace!
