All Saints Day is a day for reflecting on those who have gone on and that we are all surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. With Covid-19, this year has been especially hard for so many. Today, we remember our family members who passed away this year:

Mr. Jerido: He lived in Tuskegee and was a retired pastor. He also was an incredible bass player and practiced with the Commodores. He attended all our dinners and loved sharing his faith with our missioners.

Ms. Windsor: She lived in a mobile by herself and loved her animals. She was definitely a dog lover! With a big heart, she loved serving with the student volunteers.

Mr. Fuller: He was a tornado survivor and died before we could get his home repaired. This is a sad moment for us. However, we enjoyed getting to know him and he brought a smile to anyone who knew him.

Ms. Johnson: She is special to Lisa especially. Ms. Johnson volunteered during her retirement years and served in the surgery center for East Alabama Medical Center. When Lisa had to go in for a procedure, Ms. Johnson was the volunteer who wheeled her around to various departments for the surgery preparation.

The homeowners and households with whom we serve mean so much to us. As we work on their homes, we get to learn from them and hear their stories. They become part of our family. Although missed, they were all people of faith and we know they are now with Jesus and free from all their pain.

We are sure you too are having to remember the loss of a loved one and hope this day is one of remembering all the good things and the special memories made.

Grace and peace on this All Saints Sunday,

Lisa
