As we get started today, I am grateful for our team getting the shack, the display items, and all the details with sign ups set up. The prayer chain is filling up and there are great responses so far. The first day of sitting starts with Emily Myers, new to our board, Rev. Ashley Davis who works with the Conference Office for the United Methodist Church, Auburn Mayor Ron Anders, and two other board members, Barbara and Pete Miller. It will be a full day.
I am grateful for Auburn United Methodist letting us use their “loop” to park the shack in. The AU Wesley Foundation is still allowing us to use their facility but have a large tent on their lawn to allow for outside ministries for the students. Covid-19 is certainly a factor but it is not stopping us.
We will post a total of our fundraising efforts later this afternoon and I am encouraged how we are doing so far.
We are so glad to be able to serve people like Mr. Larry and Mr. James who are in the final stages of recovering from last year’s tornado. It is because of you! Your prayers, financial gifts, and time are so important to us and we are extremely grateful.
I’ll share more about the impacts of Covid-19 in the next addition!
Thanks and stay tuned for more updates throughout our time!
