Serving with Old Friends in Tuskegee
This week at youth mission camp we’re so happy to serve with our friends from College Hill Presbyterian Church all the way from Cincinnati, OH! We’ve had the pleasure of serving with College Hill several times before, but it’s great to meet new students who are coming to serve for the first time! One of their 3 construction crews is replacing Ms. Turk’s roof in Notasulga!
The College Hill team is also serving with the Tuskegee day camp this week! One of the student leaders, Kortni, has served with ARM before and was very excited to serve again. Check out her video below as she shares about why she wanted to come back to ARM!
Serving with New Friends in Sumter County
We are equally excited to welcome new friends to our Sumter County site this week! Discovery UMC of Birmingham, AL is serving with our home repair and day camp ministries. They’re joined by a team from Mt. Tabor Baptist Church of Buffalo, KY! While the Mt. Tabor team may be new, their pastor and team leaders – David and Amy Fortner – are long-time friends of ARM! Both are graduates of University of West AL in Livingston, and Amy served as a summer intern back in the day. David and Amy led a team from their previous church to serve with ARM for several years in a row and then helped launch a local home repair ministry in that church’s own community! Check out their video from their first day at ARM below!
